KQT PERSPECTIVES
Dale Cap, Systematic Trading Coordinator

“In the short time I have been with KQT my role has expanded and the opportunities provided have been endless.”

After graduating with a bachelor of science in mathematics, I started working at Koch Quantitative Trading as an executor for the futures desk. As an executor, I am accountable for the timeliness and accuracy of trades, for tying out the profit and loss statements, and for correcting any discrepancies with brokers and/or accountants. Execution is an ideal position to learn about the market. The depth of knowledge one acquires on how each contract is traded and the specifics of the exchanges in which they are traded cannot be duplicated.

Since I have been at KQT, I have obtained an immense amount of experience. During the my first few months of my career I not only learned about the futures market, but I was also required to study for and take the actuary P-exam, which helped to sharpen my analytical skills. Since then I have learned how to utilize Matlab, Java, and other programming software to create, modify, and assist in the analysis of futures markets. In the short time I have been with KQT my role has expanded and the opportunities provided have been endless.
